So, without further ado, I present to you MY Best of 2006 List. Here is a list of the products, things and people who have gotten me through the day this year.
1. Kiehl's Ultimate Strength Hand Salve
This stuff is awesome. I leave one at my office and one at home. In the winter, when my hands are superdry from the icky overharsh government contractor hand soap, this soothes so well I almost feel like doing some work! Yeah, right....
2. Aigle Ecuyer Rubber Riding Boots
A great find that I picked up recently and wished that I had found sooner. Stylish, indestructible, waterproof and warm. I would marry them if I weren't sure it was somehow illegal in 23 states.
3. Project Runway
Honestly, there isn't a better show on television today. Even my boyfriend secretly watched.
4. Vincent Longo Liquid Canvas Healthy Fluid Foundation
After testing out other foundations looking for something new, I always came back to this oldie but goody. One of the few products I hoard until the last drop then rush out to buy more.
5. Cynthia McKinney and Katherine Harris
The gifts that keep on giving. Newsclips of these two kept me in stitches all year long. I'm almost sad to see them leave the Hill. Although they didn't go quietly!!
There isn't a whole lot I can say about the Rosebud Salve that I haven't said already. Except that many people on my Christmas list received a tin this year!
7. Trish McEvoy Fragrance #4 - Gardenia Musk
I finally found a perfume that doesn't make me or my boyfriend gag! Hooray for me!
8. Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes! Mascara
Sent to me by Meg's Makeup, reviewed for the Great Mascara Hunt of '06, this is my favorite mascara so far. Great darkening, good staying power, slides off easily with remover.
9. Goody StayPut Hair Elastics
One of the better uses of scientific technology, these little babies keep my hair in place through Bikram yoga, hour long spin classes, marathon floor session, and the markup that. would. not. end.
10. Trish McEvoy Pretty Face Palette
Proof that there is a god, a higher power, fate, whatever, and that it loves me.
Finally, the best thing about 2006 has been all of you!! (all together now...awww! I'm about to get totally sappy on your ass.) Seriously, starting this blog has been the most fun and I can only hope that you keep reading and that I keep being funny and never run out of beauty products to review in 2007.
Peace out!
Oh, since I KNOW none of you are actually getting anything done at work today, check out the other Best of 2006 lists below!
